Add email to iPhone

To connect cPanel email to your iPhone via IMAP, go to

Settings > Mail > Accounts > Add Account > Other, then manually enter your full email, password, and server details (usually mail.yourdomain.com for both incoming/outgoing hostnames with SSL enabled) found in your cPanel’s “Connect Devices” section, using ports 993 (IMAP) and 465 or 587 (SMTP) with SSL/TLS for secure setup.

Before you start:
  • Get your details: Log into cPanel, go to Email Accounts, find your account, and click “Connect Devices” to get the exact server names, ports, and SSL settings.
  • Use mail.yourdomain.com: Your hostnames are usually mail.youractualdomain.com.
  • IMAP is recommended: It syncs across devices; POP downloads and removes from the server.
Step-by-step setup:
  1. Open Settings: On your iPhone, tap the Settings app.
  2. Navigate to Mail: Scroll down and tap Mail > Accounts.
  3. Add Account: Tap Add Account > Other > Add Mail Account.
  4. Enter Basic Info: Fill in your Name, Email, Password, and a Description (e.g., “Work Email”). Tap Next.
  5. Manual Setup: If it fails to find settings, choose IMAP, then enter the details:
    • Incoming Mail Server:
      • Host Name: mail.yourdomain.com
      • User Name: Your full email address
      • Password: Your email password
    • Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP):
      • Host Name: mail.yourdomain.com
      • User Name: Your full email address
      • Password: Your email password
  6. Check Ports & SSL: Tap the Outgoing Mail Server entry, ensure SSL is ON (green), and check the correct port (usually 465 or 587). Then, go back and do the same for the Incoming Server (port 993 for SSL).
  7. Verify & Save: Tap Next and wait for verification. Tap Save to finish.
